There have been some cases of panleucopaenia virus found in the Sydney area. It is contagious and life-threatening to cats that aren’t vaccinated against it. Symptoms include general depression, listlessness, loss of appetite, vomiting, and diarrhoea. Standard vaccinations include protection for this virus and if your cat’s vaccinations are overdue we recommend getting them updated. For more information please refer to our factsheet. If your cat shows any signs of illness, please contact us immediately.
